9. Using a 3/8 in. drill motor, a 1/4 in. drill guide, and a 1/4 in. bit, drill three pilot holes per side into the bottom of the frame rail, through each hole in
the type A reinforcement bracket.

NOTE:

On some 2000 models and all 2001-02 models, the driver's side requires only two holes due to the welded nut inside the frame, at the front bracket hole.
Do not drill a hole in this location.
