9.

Remove and discard the metal retainer and the plastic shaft protector from the new rocker arms.

10.

Apply fresh engine oil to the new rocker arms and to the intake and exhaust rocker shafts.

11.

Reinstall the lost motion springs into the bridge. Make sure the capped end of each spring faces inward.
