Place the rocker shaft bridge and holder on the cylinder head. With its dowel pins aligned to the head, press down on the bridge, and hand-tighten
its four corner mounting bolts. Then hand4ighten the six remaining mounting bolts and the two rocker shaft holder mounting bolts.

Tighten the rocker shaft bridge and rocker shaft holder mounting bolts, two turns at a time, in the numbered sequence shown below. The final
torque for each bolt is 24 N~m (17 lb-ft).
21. Adjust the valve clearances:
^ Refer to page 6-64 of the service manual, or
^ Online, enter keyword CLEAR, and select Valve Clearance Adjustment (J35Z1) from the list.

Reinstall the rear cylinder head cover, the spark plugs, the ignition coils, the intake manifold, and the throttle body. Refer to the appropriate
service manual pages or online locations listed at the beginning of this bulletin.
NOTE:
When you reinstall the throttle body, use a new gasket.
23.
Start the engine, and make sure there are no fluid leaks.
24.
Turn off the engine, and check the engine oil level.
