18. Align the projections on the cable reel with the holes on the steering wheel. Install the steering wheel, and secure the steering wheel nut. Make sure
the steering wheel is centered.
19. Reconnect the horn switch connector, radio remote switch connector, and the cruise control set/decel, resume/accel, cancel switch connector.
20. Install the driver's airbag, and secure it with new TORX bolts.
21. Connect the cable reel to the driver's airbag 4P connector, then install the access panel on the steering wheel.
22. Reconnect the negative cable to the battery.
23. Confirm proper operation of the following items, including the cable reel:

Turn the ignition switch to ON (II). The SRS indicator should come on for about 6 seconds and then go off.

After the SRS indicator goes off, turn the steering wheel fully left and right to confirm the SRS indicator does not come on.

Make sure the horn works.
^
Make sure the cruise control buttons work.
^
Make sure the steering wheel audio controls work.
