Insert shaft seal remover tool, Fig. 5, then rotate tool to ensure cutout is engaged with metal pawl.

Press remover tool until it bottoms, then rotate tool fully counterclockwise and withdraw.

6.

Place compressor assembly on a suitable workbench, then clean shaft seal mating surface in a suitable solvent.
