Oil Consumption Test (Supersedes 82-003, dated March, 1982)
PROBLEM
Oil consumption of more than 1 quart in 1000 miles within the New Car Limited Warranty.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1.
Track the oil consumption for twice the alleged mileage per quart.

Change the oil and filter. Use an SF grade detergent oil in a viscosity suitable for the outside temperatures in your area.
