1.

Refer to Figs. 25 through 26 when overhauling rear calipers.

2.

Remove caliper assembly from vehicle as described under REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.

3.

Remove pad spring from caliper.

Remove piston and piston boot while rotating piston with special tool being careful not to damage them, Fig. 28.

Remove circlip, washer, adjusting spring A and adjusting nut from piston, Fig. 29.

Remove piston seal, then install brake spring compressor tool between caliper body and spring guide, Fig. 30.

7.

Compress adjusting spring B by turning shaft of spring compressor, then remove circlip with snap ring pliers.

8.

Remove spring cover, adjusting spring B, spacer, bearing A, adjusting bolt and cup.

9.

Remove sleeve piston, then remove rod from cam.
