On 1989 models, if there is continuity in each switch position, switch is functional. If there is no continuity, remove steering wheel and check 3-P
connector for continuity, Fig. 36.

On all models, if there is no continuity in 3-P connector, replace set/resume switch.
5.
If there is continuity in 3-P connector, remove steering column lower cover and disconnect 3-P connector from slip ring, then check continuity
between No. 1 and A terminals, No. 2 and C terminals and No. 3 and B terminals.
6.
If there is no continuity in 3-P connector, replace lighting switch.
7.
If there is continuity in 3-P connector, check slip ring.
