Heated Oxygen Sensor: Description and Operation
Oxygen Sensor and Output Chart
The oxygen sensor, located in the exhaust manifold (on the DX and LX models) or in the exhaust pipe (on the EX model), detects the oxygen content in
the exhaust gas and inputs the ECU. In operation, the ECU receives the signals from the sensor and varies the duration during which fuel is injected.
The oxygen sensor is combined with a heater to stabilize the sensor output.
