Trunk / Liftgate Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

Trunk Opener Solenoid Test

1. Open the trunk lid.

2. Disconnect the 3P connector from the trunk latch.

3. Check solenoid operation by connecting power and ground according to the table. To prevent damage to the solenoid, apply battery voltage only

momentarily.

4. If the solenoid does not operate as specified, replace it.
