3. Install the differential bearing race.
Important: The differential bearing race must be compressed in order to install the differential bearing retainer.
4. Install the differential bearing retainer by performing the following steps:
1. Install the differential bearing retainer.
2. With the aid of an assistant, push the differential bearing race down towards the differential case in order to compress the differential bearing
retainer and differential coil assembly against the locking differential coil plate.
3. Install the differential bearing retainer.
Make sure the differential bearing retainer is evenly and fully seated in the differential bearing retainer slot before releasing the differential
bearing race.
5. Install the differential side bearing.
6. Install the differential assembly.
7. Lower the vehicle.
