Canister Purge Solenoid: Service and Repair
Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake
Manifold/Service and Repair/Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement) .
2. Disconnect the chassis evaporative emission (EVAP) line quick connect fitting (1) from the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic
Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Line Coupler/Service and Repair/Plastic Collar Quick Connect
Fitting Service) .
3. Disconnect the engine EVAP line (1) quick connect fitting from the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect
