3. Install springs with the enamel coated side toward the valve spring retainer, then the spring retainers.
4. Using the valve spring remover and installer, compress the spring, using caution so that the valve stem seal is not distorted by the bottom of the

retainer, then install the retainer locks.

NOTE:  After installation of the valves, make certain that the retainer locks are properly installed.
