Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Service and Repair
CAUTION: Do not disassemble the proportioning valve. The proportioning valve regulates the distribution of fluid pressure to the front and rear brakes
to prevent skidding in the event of rear wheel lock and to obtain a higher brake efficiency.
REPLACEMENT
1. Remove and install valve using image as a guide.
NOTE: - Tightening torques:
-
Flare Nuts 13-17 Nm (9-12 ft. lbs.).

Mounting Nut 8-12 Nm (6-9 ft. lbs.).
