Oil Filter: Service and Repair
REPLACING OIL FILTER
CAUTION: Be careful not to burn yourself, as the engine-and engine oil are hot.
1. Use a filter wrench to remove the oil filter.
2. Before installing the new oil filter on the engine, apply clean engine oil to the surface of the rubber gasket.
3. Suitably tighten the oil filter by hand.
4. Run the engine to check for engine oil leaks.
5. After stopping the engine, check the oil level and add oil as necessary.
