3. Verify the trunk has unlatched.

NOTE:

It is possible that the trunk lid will not raise when released using the inside handle even though the trunk is unlatched. If the trunk does not raise under it's
own spring force, manually check if the trunk is still latched or unlatched.

4. Close trunk fully.

5. Repeat steps 1-4 a total of ten (10) times.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Remove LH FR door step trim using trim removal tool, being careful not to scratch trim/body, or create a stress mark in the plastic.

2. Carefully remove two (2) floor harness clips from the body and lift body side weather strip away from the LH kick panel.

3. Carefully remove hood release handle and kick panel and foot rest.
