Brake Shoe: Testing and Inspection
1. Measure inside diameter of brake drum. If I.D. is greater than specifications, drum is beyond wear limit and should be replaced.
2. Inspect brake lining and drum for proper contact. Replace drum or shoe as necessary.
3. Inspect wheel cylinder for corrosion or damage.
4. Inspect backing plate for wear of damage.
