Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming: Service Precautions

All air bag system components, including harness and brackets must be inspected after an accident. Any wire harness damage must be repaired or
replaced in conformance with authorized service procedure. Never interchange air bag system parts from another vehicle. Use only new or
remanufactured parts purchased from an authorized dealer. Service is by replacement only. Never attempt to repair air bag system components. Verify
replacement inflator module part number as some inflator modules look identical but contain different internal components.
Vehicles with accident damage, major body or sheet metal damage, or where the steering column has been impacted, may also have a damaged or
misaligned steering column. To check steering column for accident damage, refer to Steering Column.
