WHEEL COVER DISCOLORATION
The plastic, bolt-on wheel covers on early 1993 model year production Excels, Scoupes, and Elantras produced prior to 9/26/92 may discolor and turn
from silver to a yellowish/gold. (The snap on wheel cover is not affected.)
Many of these vehicles will have had their wheel covers changed at the ports, but some vehicles have already been shipped to dealers. Dealers are
requested to replace the wheel covers on all in stock 1993 model year vehicles produced up to 9/26/92 which HAVE NOT had them replaced at the port.
Vehicles which have had the wheel covers changed previously are marked in one or more of the following methods:

An "Attention Service Manager" inside rear view mirror hanger which says "Wheel Covers Changed"

A "W/C" crayon mark on the windshield glass

A 20 mm round silver sticker on the windshield glass

An elliptical red sticker on the windshield glass with W-OK on it
DO NOT REPLACE THE WHEEL COVERS ON THESE VEHICLES!
The wheel covers that need to be replaced are now held on by the lug nuts, so the car has to be raised and all the lug nuts removed to remove the cover.
A new operation code for this is given.
