NOTE:

Do not over torque the oil pressure switch.

Tightening torque
Oil pressure switch:   8-12 N-m (80-120 kg. cm, 5.8-8.7 lb.ft.)

INSPECTION

1.

Check continuity between the terminal and body with an ohmmeter. If there is no continuity, replace the oil pressure switch.

2.

Check continuity between the terminal and the body when a fine wire is inserted into the oil pressure switch oil hole. If there is continuity when the wire is pushed in, replace the switch.

Oil pressure switch operation pressure:  
20-39 kPa (0.2-0.4 kg/sq.cm, 2.9-5-7 psi) V6 Only
14.7-29.42 kPa (0.1 5-0.3kg/sq.cm, 2.1-4.3 psi) Except V6
