Drill a 5/32" hole in underside of parcel shelf. (Fig. 6)

Slide mesh sleeve over spring and install as shown. (Fig. 6)

Check for CHMSL operation. If brake lights operate, installation is complete.
Installation Instructions - Type 2 Spoiler
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR OO259-J52OO SPOILER: TYPE 2
1.
Cut out left # 02 and right # 03 templates and tape to deck lid. (Fig. 1)
2.
Center punch the marked locations, (1 on each side) and remove templates.
3.
At center punch locations, drill 1/8" pilot holes.
4.
Enlarge holes to 9/32", drilling through both skins of deck lid.

From underside of deck lid, enlarge inner panel holes to 1/2". (Fig. 7)
6.
Temporarily attach spoiler to deck lid using 1 screw on each side.
7.
Slide center template (# 04) under center leg of spoiler and tape to deck lid.
8.
Remove spoiler and center punch the marked locations, then remove template.
