GENERAL PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRIMER COATED SPOILERS:
Both styles of spoilers are "PUR" (polyurethane) based products, therefore, it is important to refer to the paint manufacturers instructions and warnings
for use of their products on PUR (polyurethane). The following information is being provided for general reference only. Always read the entire
manufacturers label prior to painting.
Should there be pin holes visible on the primer coated spoiler, these can be patched with suitable putty.
SANDING:
Wet sand using 500 grit. If applying a base coat, finish wet sand with 600 grit or finer.
CLEANING:
Use Lacquer and Enamel Cleaner 3939 S to remove sanding sludge.
Note
If Lucite Base Color is the preferred topcoat, apply one coat of Velvaseal over URO Primer-Filler 1120 S to insure proper adhesion.
COLOR COAT:
CRONAR, CENTARI, IMRON or LUCITE can be used as the color coat in the URO System.

Allow color to dry before applying URO Clear:
CRONAR Base:
5- 15 Minutes
CENTARI Base: 5- 15 Minutes
CENTARI Single Stage: 1 - 4 Hours (Activate the single stage with URO Clear Activator 1082 S)
IMRON:
15-30 Minutes
LUCITE Base:
15-30 Minutes
URO CLEAR:
Respirator:
Always wear a positive-Pressure supplied air respirator (NIOSH/MSHA TC-19C). Read and follow the paint manufacturers
instructions regarding use of the air respirator.
Mixing Ratio: 8:2:1
8 Parts URO Clear 1080 S
2 Parts URO Clear Activator 1082 S
Depending on shop temperature;
1 Part Fast URO Clear Reducer 1075 S
or
1 Part Mid-Temp URO Clear Reducer 1085 S
or
1 Part Slow URO Clear Reducer 1095 S
Mix together thoroughly and strain.
Pot Life:
3 Hours
Viscosity:
17 - 19 seconds in Zahn # 2 (DuPont M-222) cup.
Nozzle Orifice, Siphon or Gravity: 1.4 (0.055 in.) - 1.9 (0.073 in.)
