Brake Master Cylinder: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation
Fig. 1 Master Cylinder Assembly
1. Disconnect electrical connector from fluid level switch, if equipped, Fig. 1.
2. Disconnect brake lines from master cylinder and plug open ports.
3. Remove master cylinder mounting nuts, disconnect proportioning valve mounting bracket, if equipped, then remove master cylinder from vehicle.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Tighten master cylinder mounting nuts and brake lines to specifications.
