1. Check the chain guide for bend, crack or damage, Replace if necessary.
2. Check the rubber part of chain guide for abnormal wear. Replace if necessary.

Timing chain 

Check the bushing and plate of timing chain for wear. Replace if it is worn severely.

REASSEMBLY 

1. Install the HLA.

2. Align the camshaft timing chain with intake timing chain sprocket and exhaust timing chain sprocket as shown.

3. Install the camshaft after lubricating the journal of camshaft with engine oil.
