Air Filter Element: Service and Repair

The air filter will become dirty during use, which will decrease fuel economy. Replace with a new one.

1. Remove the air intake hose air duct.
2. Disconnect the connector for the air-flow sensor from the air cleaner filter cover.
3. Disconnect the intake air temperature sensor connector.
4. Disconnect the air cleaner filter cover clip.
5. Remove the air cleaner filter cover.

NOTE:  The air cleaner filter cover should be removed carefully because it includes the air-flow sensor.

6. Remove the air cleaner filter.
7. Insert in a new air filter element and clamp the air cleaner filter cover closed.
