1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Remove horn button cover, scribe alignment marks on steering wheel and shaft, then remove steering wheel using suitable puller.

3.

Remove steering column trim shroud attaching screws, then the trim shrouds, Fig. 7.

4.

Remove glove box, then the steering column shroud under cover.

5.

Remove lower crash pad cover.

6.

Remove hood release handle retaining screws, then the handle.

7.

Remove lower instrument panel side panel retaining screws, disconnect electrical connector, then pull panel outward and remove from vehicle.

8.

Remove cigar lighter and ashtray.

9.

Remove lower instrument panel assembly retaining screws, pull assembly outward to disconnect electrical connector, then remove lower
instrument panel from vehicle.

10.

Remove instrument cluster retaining screws, pull cluster outward to disconnect electrical connectors and speedometer cable, then remove cluster
from vehicle.

11.

Remove radio knobs and front trim panel, disconnect antenna cable and wiring, then remove radio retaining screws and radio.

12.

Disconnect control wires from heater control assembly, then remove heater bracket to instrument panel retaining bolts.

13.

Remove instrument panel upper cover pads, then the retaining bolts.

14.

Remove remaining instrument panel retaining bolts and the instrument panel.

15.

Reverse procedure to install.
