SPEEDOMETER INACCURACY

In some cases, you may receive complaints of speedometer inaccuracy, specifically units that read too fast. This may occur on some vehicles
produced prior to 5/10/86. To correct this condition, it is necessary to replace the speedometer head with one of a later production date. As
the part number has not been changed, it is necessary to refer to the lot number that is ink stamped on the left side of the speedometer
chassis. Units with lot numbers of 860508 and higher should be used to correct this condition.
