DESCRIPTION:
If diagnostic code B1602 (CAN error) or B1603 (CAN Communication Bus Off) are present, the vehicle's Body Control Module does not enter a
dormant state when the ignition is turned off. This can result in current drain from the battery while the ignition is turned off.
These codes may set in any of the 12 different modules that utilize the BCM CAN line (see table shown below). The conditions that caused the codes
must be repaired and the codes must be cleared in all of the (12) BCM controlled modules.
Parasitic draw measured: (key off, engine off)
BCM controlled modules that can set codes B1602 or B1603
Normal warranty applies.
