R-12 REFRIGERANT REPLACEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS

The production of the air conditioning refrigerant R-12 has been phased out, and the cost of R-12 will undoubtedly rise. Due to this cost increase many
companies are offering so called "Drop-In" refrigerants as a replacement for R-12. Since Hyundai air conditioning systems are designed to utilize R-12
only, we do not recommend the use of these "Drop-In" replacements.

Hyundai offers approved Air Conditioning Retrofit kits to convert R-12 air conditioning systems to more environmentally friendly R-134a air
conditioning systems. Refer to Parts Bulletin 0963 for kit detail and availability.
