2001 SANTA FE RADIATOR LOWER HOSE INTERFERENCE WITH BATTERY CABLE CLAMP
DESCRIPTION:
Some Santa Fe vehicles with automatic transmissions may experience lower radiator hose damage over time from rubbing against the battery cable
clamp. This condition can be corrected by removing the battery cable clamp and replacing it with a strap.

Model 2001 Automatic Transaxle Santa Fe, both 2.4L and 2.7L

Affected vehicle production date range : All vehicles up to September 28, 2000.

SERVICE PROCEDURE:
NOTE:
Before beginning the service procedure, verify that the vehicle is affected by the production date.
1.
Open and secure hood.
2.
Loosen clamp on air cleaner duct at the air filter box using a 10mm socket.
3.
Remove hose end from the air box and tuck under the battery tray.
4.
Remove the ATF Dip stick.
