DESCRIPTION:
Hyundai has deleted the external oil filter (P/N 46322-39000) on all Elantra, Sonata, Santa Fe and XG300 transaxles effective with the production dates
listed below. These transaxles are equipped with an internal oil filter that needs to be changed only during transaxle overhaul.
EFFECTIVE PRODUCTION DATE
The oil change interval has not been revised.
NOTE:
Severe usage includes:

Repeated short distance driving
^
Extensive idling
^
More than 50% driving in heavy city traffic during hot weather above 90°F (32°C)
^
Repeated driving in very cold weather below 0°F (-18°C)
^
Towing a trailer
^
Driving in mountainous areas
If most of the customer's driving is under "Severe" conditions as described above, please recommend transaxle oil changes every 30,000 miles.
