NOTE:
When inserting the steel ruler, avoid the boss in the speedometer driven gear mounting hole.

When the oil level is "full", the distance to the surface of the oil should be 3-1/4 in. (82.8 mm) below the speedometer driven gear mounting hole.
6.
If the steel ruler does not touch the oil level at 3-1/4 in. (82.8 mm), add enough of the specified oil to bring it up to the correct level.
NOTE:
Add the oil through the speedometer driven gear mounting hole.
7.
Remove the steel ruler and reinstall all removed components.
8.
Lower the vehicle.
