REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
DESCRIPTION:
If a Santa Fe vehicle has a loose rear door weatherstrip from the leading edge of one or both rear doors, or if the door weatherstrip is replaced, the
following procedure should be followed to secure the weatherstrip.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1.
Inspect the weatherstrip to ensure it is in good condition.
2.
Apply weatherstrip adhesive to the bottom 3" of the weatherstrip as shown in the photo.
NOTE:
Use an adhesive rated for outdoor weatherstrip applications. Follow the instructions for the adhesive.
3.
Starting from the top, press the weatherstrip into place on the door. Ensure it fits properly before the adhesive is pressed into place.
