(SHOP MANUAL CORRECTION)
DESCRIPTION:
The manual transaxle gear oil level inspection procedure given on page TR-87 of the 2001 MY Santa Fe Shop Manual is incorrect. This bulletin
provides the correct oil level measurement procedure.
SERVICE PROCEDURE:
1.
Lift the vehicle on a hoist.
2.
Disconnect the speed sensor connector.
3.
Remove the speedometer driven gear. (Speed Sensor)
4.
Insert a 6 in. (150 mm) steel ruler into the transaxle through the speedometer driven gear mounting hole.
