FD46XG PAG OIL SPECIFICATIONS FOR AIR CONDITIONING COMPONENT REPLACEMENT
DESCRIPTION:
This bulletin provides the quantities of FD46XG PAG (Poly Alkylene Glycol) oil that needs to be added to or removed from the A/C system during A/C
component replacement.
CAUTION:

Air conditioning lubricant oil or refrigerant vapor can irritate your eyes, nose and throat.

Be careful when connecting service equipment.

Do not breathe lubricant oil or refrigerant vapor.
PROCEDURE:
Refrigerant Recovery
1.
Connect a R-134a refrigerant recovery/recycling/charging station to the high pressure service port and the low pressure service port. Recover the
refrigerant and refrigerant oil. Follow the equipment manufacturer's instructions.
2.
Measure the amount of refrigerant oil removed from the A/C system after the refrigerant recovery process is completed.
Part Replacement
3.
Replace the required A/C component per shop manual procedures.
System Evacuation
4.
When an A/C system has been opened to the atmosphere, such as during installation or repair, it must be evacuated using a R-134a refrigerant
recovery/ recycling/charging station.
5.
Evacuate the system. Follow the equipment manufacturer's instructions.
