9. Remove intermediate shaft and use compressed air to clean debris from the shaft housing and clean any corrosion on the shaft.
10. Once the intermediate shaft is removed, the bearing bracket must be carefully ground to eliminate potential interference between the bearing bracket
and the engine block.

The ground edges should be a minimum of 10mm by 3mm, as shown.
11. After grinding the bearing bracket, remove any debris from the shaft housing and clean the splines and groove for the 0-ring.
12. Remove old 0-ring. Lubricate a new 0-ring (P/N 45838-3B000) with McLube MOS2-400 high temperature grease, and install into the groove at the
output shaft opening.
