Attach the tow hitch wiring harness to the wiring cut in the step 4. Splice the tow hitch harness wires as listed in the chart above, using the
grease-filled wire taps provided.
CAUTION:
Using non-grease filled connectors could lead to possible corrosion and light/harness malfunction.

To properly secure the wire tap, open the cover completely and lay the original wire completely into the exposed channel. Insert the tow hitch
harness wire into the opening up to the stop. With both wires properly positioned inside the wire tap, use a pair of blunt nose pliers to seat the
blade and pierce each wire in the wire tap. With the blade secured, close the cover of the wire tap, to lock it into place.
CAUTION:
Failure to properly secure the wire tap will lead to intermittent operation of the harness and potential electrical system damage.

Route the tow hitch harness down along the bumper support bracket and secure into place with cable ties.

Remove the dust cover and carefully push the 4-pin flat tow hitch connector through the connector mounting bracket from under the vehicle until it
snaps into place.
19.
Reconnect the battery terminal.
