NOTE:

Do not remove the anchors.

Remove the tow hitch control module and harness by grasping the module by the hand and gently rotating it back and forth until the adhesive
separates from the bumper reinforcement.

NOTE:

Removed modules/harnesses MUST be returned to the WTC. Parts return notices will be generated from the WTC for all replaced parts.

NOTE:

DO NOT Damage the module.

NOTE:

DO NOT CUT the attached wire harness or connectors.

Completely clean and remove all remaining adhesive tape from the top of the rear bumper reinforcement.

NOTE:

Anchor points - if the tow hitch harness anchor points are still present skip to step 7.

Locate the anchor points from step 3. Clean area. Install new anchor points by pressing firmly in position. Using a heat gun, apply heat to each of
the anchor points for 5 minutes to cure the adhesive.

NOTE:

The new module can be identified by the external fuse holder.

Insert matching connectors on the replacement tow hitch harness into the vehicle connectors. Press firmly into place until the locking tabs engage.
Secure the tow hitch harness to the anchor points installed in step 6.
