Route the wiring harness above the exhaust muffler, and bring the tow hitch control module to the center of the bumper.

Use one (1) cable tie and cable anchor to support the wire harness.
10.
Secure the tow hitch control module above the ledge of the bumper by removing the adhesive backing and pressing firmly.
11.
Route the tow hitch harness down along the bumper support bracket and secure into place with cable ties.
12.
Remove the dust cover and carefully push the 4-pin flat trailer connector through the connector mounting bracket from under the vehicle until it
snaps into place.
13.
Reconnect the battery terminal.
DIRECT TO BATTERY SERVICE PROCEDURE (SANTA FE ONLY):

Using a 10 mm socket, remove the negative (-) battery cable and secure it away from the negative battery post.
CAUTION:
Failure to disconnect from the battery may cause damage to the new replacement control module.
