DESCRIPTION:
This bulletin provides procedures to diagnose and repair a vehicle with an SRS Front Impact Sensor (FIS) code B1327 or B1332 stored in the SRS
Control Module. These codes may be stored as "Active" or "History" codes.
PROCEDURE:
1.
Confirm the "AIRBAG" light on the instrument panel is illuminated.
2.
Using a Hi-Scan Pro or GDS diagnostic tool, retrieve active and history SRS Diagnostic Trouble Codes from the SRS Control Module.
3.
If either B1327 or B1332 are stored as active codes, proceed to Step 1 under "ACTIVE CODE DIAGNOSTICS".
HISTORY CODE DIAGNOSTICS
1.
Clear any SRS B1327 and B1332 history codes from module memory.
2.
Disconnect the Hi-Scan Pro or GDS diagnostic tool.
3.
Cycle the ignition system (i.e. OFF-ON).
4.
Re-connect the Hi-Scan Pro or GDS diagnostic tool.
5.
Retrieve any SRS codes stored in the SRS Control Module.
6.
If the Airbag Warning Lamp illuminates for approximately 6 seconds and then turns off, and there are no codes stored in the SRS Control Module,
then this procedure is complete.
If either B1327 or B1332 codes are stored, proceed to "ACTIVE CODE DIAGNOSTICS".
