Engage the connector cover (0) with both connectors.

Apply harness tape or insulating tape over the open wires on both connectors and both heat-shrink tubes.
NOTE:
Make sure to leave slack so the joined wires and the butt connectors can be routed within the junction box.

Connect the connectors to the junction box, and place the joint wires in the groove(R) on the junction box to avoid interference.
23.
Installation is in reverse order of removal.
