Place the mass damper on the shift cable inside the engine compartment approximately 4 inches from the bulkhead. Install the other two bolts.

Using a hex wrench, tighten the 4 bolts securely to 10 - 12 in-lb (1.1 - 1.3 Nm).
5.
Confirm the shift cable moves freely.
CAUTION:
If the damper is installed too tightly, the shift lever may not move freely.
