Remove the rear seat back latch mounting screws.

4.

Disconnect the rear seat back latch and rod.

5.

Replace the rear seat back latch with the new one.

6.

Installation is the reverse order of the removal.

7.

After installing the rear seat back latch, make sure the rear seat back knob is tight and secure.

8.

Check the height of the rear seat back dampers. Dampers number 1 and 4 should be longer than dampers 2 and 3, as shown. Both dampers must
touch the rear package tray support at the same time. The dampers should compress slightly when closing the rear seat. Proper damper heights will
also help reduce noise and/or squeaks of the rear seat backs.

IMPORTANT:
When the rear seat back is returned to its upright position, make sure it has locked into position by pulling and pushing on the top of the seat.
