Crankshaft Main Bearing Seal: Service and Repair

1.

Remove transaxle.

2.

Remove flywheel.

3.

Remove rear plate, seal case and seal.

4.

Using oil seal installer 09231-11000 on 1.5L/4-89.6 engine or 09231-32000 on 2.4L/4-143.4 engine models, press new seal into case, ensuring
seal does not cock to one side.

5.

Install seal case and new gasket, then coat seal lips with engine oil.

6.

Install rear plate and flywheel.

7.

Install transaxle.
