If any of the above conditions exist, the catalytic converter must be replaced. If the catalytic converter exhibits none of the above conditions, the catalytic
converter may be reinstalled. Proceed to step three for installation procedures.

Position the catalytic converter between the front exhaust pipe and the center exhaust pipe, then install and tighten both the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
When servicing, also replace the gaskets (P/N 28764-36010) and the nuts (P/N 28769-21000).

Fuel Pump Check Procedure

1.

Reduce the internal pressure of the fuel pipes and hoses by the following procedures.

Disconnect the fuel pump harness connector at the rear of the fuel tank.

Start the engine and run until the fuel supply stops and the engine stops. After it stops by itself, turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

Disconnect the negative battery (-) terminal.

Connect the Fuel Pump Harness connector.

2.

Remove the upper banjo bolt while holding the fuel filter nut securely. Remove the bolt from the hose connection.

Note:

Do not discard the two copper washers found on the banjo fitting as they are needed while using the fuel adapter in step three.

CAUTION:

Cover the hose connection with a shop towel to prevent splashing of fuel caused by residual pressure in the fuel line.
