If the results of the measurements made in steps (6) and (7) are not within the standard value, use the following table to determine the probable
cause, and make the necessary repairs.

Stop the engine and check for a change in the fuel pressure reading. The fuel pressure should hold for approximately 5 minutes. If the fuel pressure
drops more than 5 psi, use the table to determine the cause.

10.

Loosen and remove the fuel pressure adapter bolt while holding the fuel filter nut securely.

CAUTION

Cover the hose connection with a shop towel to prevent splashing of fuel caused by residual pressure in the fuel line.

11.

Install the two new copper washers (P/N 17512-12000).

Note:

Do not reuse the two copper washers found on the banjo fitting as new ones are needed while reinstalling the banjo bolt.

12.

Connect the fuel hose to the fuel filter, and tighten the bolt to the specified torque.
