Disassembly of shift rail assembly:

1)

Shift the first-second speed shift fork to the second speed.

2)

Shift the third-fourth speed shift fork to the fourth speed.

4.

Remove the shift rail assembly.

5.

Remove the bearing retainer.

6.

Lift up the input shaft assembly and remove the intermediate and output shaft assemblies.

Assembly Instructions

Press the old 3rd and 4th gears and 3rd/4th synchronizer hub and sleeve off of the input shaft. Install and press the field fix kit which includes 3rd and
4th gears and the 3rd/4th synchronizer hub, sleeve and fings onto the input shaft as shown in the shop manual.

Install output shaft assembly.
