DESCRIPTION:

If the windshield wiper blades do not effectively clean the windshield, the windshield wiper blade inserts may need to be replaced.

This bulletin provides a procedure for replacement of the windshield wiper rubber blade in the wiper blade assembly.

REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE:

The wiper blade assembly is composed of 3 parts: clip, frame and rubber blade. The rubber blade contains 2 rail springs in its body.

1.

Remove the wiper blade assembly from the wiper arm. Depress the removal tab on the clip and slide the wiper blade assembly off of the wiper
arm.

2.

Locate the groove at the lower end of the rubber blade. Confirm the groove is at the same end as the removal tab in the clip (see illustration).

3.

Flex the rubber blade at the groove lower end to expose one of the rail springs.
