Oil Pan: Service and Repair
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support vehicle, then drain engine oil.
3. Remove engine oil pan retaining bolts, then the oil pan.
4. Clean gasket surfaces of oil pan and engine block.

5. Apply a 0.16 inch thick bead of sealant in groove of oil pan flange as shown in Fig. 29.
6. Reverse procedure to install, tighten oil pan bolts to specifications.
