Fuel Pressure Release: Service and Repair
To avoid fuel spillage during fuel system repairs reduce the internal pressure of the fuel pipes and hoses by completing the following operations.

Disconnect the fuel pump harness connector at the rear of the fuel tank.

Start the engine and after it stalls, turn the ignition switch to OFF.

Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.

Make necessary repairs or service.

Reconnect the fuel pump harness and battery after making repairs and check for leaks.
